Which Ecovacs should you buy?

The official UAE store sells six DEEBOT robots right now, from AED 599 to AED 2,799. Here is what each one is actually for, in dirhams.

Most apartments: the DEEBOT T80 OMNI, AED 2,199. Roller mop, full station, and cheaper than it was a week ago.

Low sofas and lots of rugs: the T50S OMNI, AED 2,299. The thinnest and the strongest suction.

Big villa: the X11 PRO OMNI, AED 2,799. Charges in minutes and keeps going.

Tight budget: the N30 PRO OMNI, AED 1,219. A full washing station for the least money.

Where I stand

We had the DEEBOT X11 PRO OMNI at home, and Ecovacs is one of the robot vacuum brands I rate most.

Full disclosure: my brother works at Ecovacs. He brought the X11 home, and we live in the same house, so it cleaned our floors. I also earn a commission when you use my code TIMELESS. So every price and spec on this page comes straight from the official UAE store, and where a cheaper model does the same job, I say so.

What I remember about living with it: it cleaned everything, and I honestly cannot think of anything that annoyed me. More on the X11.

The one I would point most people to. It uses a roller mop, the design Ecovacs puts on its flagships, which is rinsed with clean water while it cleans instead of dragging dirty pads around. It dropped from AED 2,799 this month, so it now costs less than the T50S.

Only 81 mm tall, so it gets under beds and sofas that the others bump into, and it has the highest suction of the six. Pick it over the T80 if you have low furniture or a lot of rugs.

The one we had at home: it cleaned everything, and I cannot remember a single complaint. It is the flagship, down from AED 4,499. Its trick is charging: it tops up a few percent every time it goes back to wash the mop, so Ecovacs says it can do 1,000 m² in one go. That only matters in a villa. In an apartment, the T80 does the same job for AED 600 less.

What actually matters in a UAE home

Dust arrives every day, not every week. Sand comes in through balcony doors and settles from the AC. A robot that runs daily beats a stronger one that runs on weekends, and a station that empties the bin is what makes daily runs painless.

Most floors here are hard. Tiles and marble show every streak, so mopping matters more than in countries with carpet everywhere. That is why I lean towards the roller mops on the T80 and X11.

Summer humidity makes wet mops smell. Every OMNI station on this list dries the mop with warm air after washing. The N20e models do not wash or dry at all.

Measure under your sofa. The T50S is 81 mm tall. The T80 and X11 are 98 mm. That 17 mm decides whether the robot cleans under your furniture or around it.

Which Ecovacs is best for a UAE apartment?

For most apartments with tiled or marble floors, the DEEBOT T80 OMNI. It has a roller mop that is washed with clean water as it cleans, a station that washes and dries the mop with warm air, and at AED 2,199 it is cheaper than the T50S OMNI right now.

Does the TIMELESS code work on every Ecovacs?

No. The code takes AED 100 off orders over AED 1,000, so it does not cover the DEEBOT N20e (AED 599) or the N20e PLUS (AED 999). It works on the N30 PRO OMNI, T50S OMNI, T80 OMNI and X11 PRO OMNI.

What warranty do you get from the official Ecovacs UAE store?

Roller mop or spinning mop pads?

A roller mop, as on the T80 OMNI and X11 PRO OMNI, is rinsed with clean water while it cleans, which suits hard floors that get dusty every day. Spinning pads, as on the T50S OMNI and N30 PRO OMNI, reach closer into edges by swinging out and are the older, proven design.
